Our monthly meeting of the flock was held today and the theme was Carneros Whites ands Howell Mountain Reds. Along with bring yourself and /or your bottle in costume. I am not a Halloween person so I brought myself and bottle "as is". Some costumes were quite clever, The house and outdoor area was decorated and made for a very "spooky" atmosphere. All the wines were good. The theme dictated that. When a person choose a "generic" theme to their tasting you have a certain portion of people who will take the cheapest way with a bottle.
The food was supposed to be "spooky" also. We had mummified meatloaf, mummy fingers etc., The tasting was such a hit that the hosts will be doing the Halloween theme next year.
