John & Remy hosted a Paella & Pinot dinner tonight. Remy does great Paella and the pinots flowed. Good group of people, not all the wine group. A mixed bag of people. Some great appetizers brought by the guests. I went by La Espanola a Spanish deli and market for cheese and pates. Defying tradition I brought a Rose and an Albarino. The albarino was the first bottle emptied. It was a Longoria from the Lompoc/Santa Ynez area and was showing really well. There were at least 20 bottles of Pinot on the table and some really good ones. Dessert was flan which Remy makes from a old family recipe. Nice evening and much enjoyment.
