Lots of wine, food and prizes was the format for today's "Gathering of The Flock", The theme was White Wines From The Burgundy Region and Red Wines From The Bordeaux Region. Several 1st Cru's and Grand Cru's made an appearance. A few real standouts, but for the most part all were very good wines. We had to vote on our most liked white and red wine which became a hassle, You would think you had it nailed then tasted another wine and changed your mind. By time you got to the end of 23 wines it was hard to remember. But we had two very good winners. A 2011 Mawn Milly Lamcutine Recoete Clos du Fous for the Burgundy region and a 2008 Chateau Valade St. Emilion Grand Cru from the Bordeaux region were proclaimed the mist liked wines.
