Another Dim Sum With The Boys

Monday. June 26, 2017

The boys and I met at the Seafood Palace for our monthly Dim Sum lunch. Today seemed to be on a higher level of laughter. Started as soon as I got there and lasted throughout the lunch.  I was really glad there no other females at the table. We got really obnoxious and sexual at times.  But this is one reason we keep it to singles.

Nothing spectacular in the food. Some of the same dishes we usually get but today had a different vibe to it.  We kept it simple. Smallest lobster they had was 3-1/2 pounds so we passed on that. Lobster would have added about $12 each to our huge bill of $11 including tax and tip. So we stuck to the normal for us.

Wines were an interesting collection. CJ brought a Foley Sta. Rita Hills, Clone 115,  Pinot Noir. When he opened it he noted that it was an 09. Me thinks he needs to get his glasses updated, It turned out to be an 05 on which we thanked him profusely for bringing it.

I brought a 2011 Clos Pepe Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir which was showing really nice.  Just unpacked the case it was in so I have  more to enjoy.

Other wines were a 2008 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, 2013 Bran Caia, Tosacano red  and a 2014 Loring, Aubaine, Pinot Noir.
